Goodies Kid's Box
Goodies Kid’s Box

I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but Goodies Co. has announced they are launching a Kid’s Box of Goodies, which just like their original Taster’s Box is only $7/month!  The box is geared towards kids ages 5-8 and is a great way to discover and taste new snacks (both foods and beverages).  The first box is shipping in August, but L and I were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of it.

L & The Box

As luck would have it, L was still home when it arrived yesterday.  I have no clue where it came from.  It just appeared on our porch sort of out of nowhere. I like secret deliveries, so I didn’t even check the tracking label.  And L knew right away just from looking at the box that it was for HIM.  The box itself is very kid like and perfect for L.

Another reason I didn’t pay too much attention to the label is because I peeled it off so you could see the adorable box the Goodies Kid’s Box comes in.  It’s totally meant to be colored by the recipient and I think that’s a great idea!  I also love the idea of decorating this box and then using it as a gift box!  I think L’s Nana would love a box colored by L instead of just a plain old boring box.

So I was totally expecting to receive a box which included the items on the Goodies Co. Kid’s Box section of the webpage.  But I was happily surprised that the box included all different items! Yay!!!  I confirmed with Goodies that this is the box that subscribers will receive for August, so if you were hoping for seaweed, sorry ;).

Goodies Kid's
The Not Really Information Card

The Goodies Kid’s box didn’t come with an information card (L could care less if I read him information on snacks), rather it comes with a card that gives you a recipe to play with your food, i.e. to make GLOP!  GLOP is just corn starch and water and we’ve made it before, but we will totally do it again.  I do have to say that corn starch is a staple in many Pinterest type kid’s projects.

Here is what our box included:

~Crunchmaster Grammy Crisps: Word on the street is that these taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and I can’t wait to verify this for myself.  Sadly, I pinky promised L that I would not try any of the snacks in his special box until we could try them together when we got home from up-north, so I must wait.  But the last day to order in time to get the August box is July 25th, so I wanted to get my post up as quickly as possible.

~Diamond Bakery Hawaiian Animal Cookies: These are little ocean creature shaped graham crackers and I think they are what I want to try the most out of the box.  They are made in Hawaii and I know if I saw these at the store, I’d buy them based on the package alone.

~barefruit Crunchy Fuji Red Apples: I’ve had these before and they are delicious!  I was excited to see more of them in the box for sure and don’t know why I don’t ever grab them when I am at the store.  Next time!

~Motts Medleys: Both B and L love fruit snacks and Mott’s are a favorite.  L will probably eat these while he decides what to eat next from his box when he gets home.  L is a growing boy and must eat something every 2-3 hours (he’s always been like this), so I keep fruit snacks and the like handy in the car for “emergencies”.

~Tangy Zangy Twisties: These seem to have been released quite recently and are sure to be a new favorite of L’s.  And while yes, eating a piece of fruit would be healthier, these are made from 100% fruit juice, so that’s a plus for sure.

~got milk Straws: These straws are a huge deal around our house and L always asks for him when we run across them at the store.  And since I was so curious about them the first time we got them, I tried them and can confirm that they are quite delicious.  And fun.

~Enjoy Life Chocolate Chip Cookie: Can you go wrong with chocolate chip cookies?  I think not.  There having been very few (if any) times in life that I have thought to myself, wow, that chocolate chip cookie sucked.  They just don’t suck.  A chocolate chip cookie can solve many problems can’t it?

From the little time L got to spend with his Kid’s Goodies Box, he was thrilled. Totally thrilled.  Without question we will be adding this to our monthly subscription box collection.  I mean for only $7/month (including shipping), how could we not??  It’s a perfect way to get out of our snack rut (and we’ve so been in one this summer) and test out some new things without spending a fortune on full sized items.

Disclosure: This box was received for review purposes, however, let’s face it, I would have bought it on my own. I’ve been getting the original Goodies Co. Taster’s Box since it came out and always enjoy it. No compensation was received for this post and all opinions are my own.

Just signed up for this for my 3 year old! Used a promo code you had posted a while ago for the first box to be free. I know it says 5 and up but I think it will be just fine for him! Thanks!

I cancelled my personal Goodies since the treats were just sitting here but this looks right up my boys alley. I’m pretty sure we would eat everything in here. I may have to resign up for the kids box. N is the same way as L and eats every couple of hours. I’m betting that is why he is so small since isn’t that how they say adults should eat too? A little every couple of hours instead of a huge meal a couple times a day.

I am beyond thrilled about this box! I think I might have to add an additional box so, each of my boys can have their own!! 😉

  4. Lisa

I already subscribe to Goodies and just signed up for a kid’s box for my son (he’s 3). Unfortunately, it looks like the first box I’ll get is September. Oh well.

  5. Brooke

Super sad! I just went to sign up for the box and it says I wont get my first box until September! 🙁

  6. Amanda

I think my son would love it 🙂

  7. Mrs. L

Heck I’d eat everything in this box and I’m far from the age group. I think we still might have a few of the chocolate Moo milk straws around, as we love those!

  8. Ashley C.

Oh goodness — my kids would love something like that! I don’t know that the snacks would last more than a day or two — they would be elbow deep in there trying to eat them all as fast as they could.

  9. Sarah

I just signed my son up for the Kids one and the promo worked, first month free! Thanks so much!
